B D Kothari born in the year 1943 in Kothari Family owning “Kothari” Brand Hosiery knitwear manufacturing unit. He was graduated in the year 1964 from St. Xavier’s College, kolkata and is married having two sons and a daughter who are all well settled. He joined the family business in the year 1962. They own Shree Krishna Packaging Co. Pvt Ltd., a Corrugated Box Manufacturing unit.

Though he was never a Managing Committee member of either EICMA or FCBM till 1997 he was always available for any help ever since the Conference of FCBM held in kolkata at Hotel Grand under EICMA Presidentship of his elder brother Sri D.D.Kothari.He was active silent Member of the Organizing Committee of FCBM Conference in 1995 hosted by EICMA at Kolkata.He adorned the post of EICMA President from the year 1997 to 2000 and laid the foundation of EICMA’S office premises in the year 2000.Under his chairmanship of Building & premises committee,EICMS’S R&D Center and office premises was inaugurated in the year 2003.

Under his Chairmanship “Team EICMA” hosted the 38th FCBM Conference 2009 successfully. He has been silently working for rationalization of Excise duty on corrugated products to bring it in parity with duty on our main raw material i.e. Kraft paper. He stood behind the FCBM President Sri RG in fulfilling our Dream of getting parity of duty rate 4% on our products with that of Kraft paper as announced during the presentation of the Union Budget by our Honorable Finance Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
